| This thread is for people who are role-playing with the Mexican Mafia for the first time and would like to be more informed about yard workouts and how they operate. Yard workout is mandatory if you are housed on a specific yard of a prison and checked in with a car, this car being the Sureños. The workout is led by one person only. This person usually being a trusted Sureño known as the "conductor" of the workout. They would lead the workout as if he was a military boot camp commander or sergeant. There are commonly used Spanish phrases that are used by the conductor of the workout that the group of Sureños are expected to respond to in unison. They are usually "Listo?!" for "Ready?!" "Buen dia, Sureños!" which means "Good day Sureños!" which needs no response. Whereas others such as "Como se siente, Sureños?!" which means "How are you feeling, Sureños?!" after finishing a workout, would deserve the response of a unison of "One hundred percent!" But, please pay attention to what the conductor says, I know we're not all Spanish speakers here but we don't need people spamming "One hundred percent!" every time someone who is leading the workout says something in Español. I've seen some conductors that may say the same thing twice, but once in Spanish and then once in English. Add your own gangster twist to things without branching too far from basic Español. This is not to bash anybody but only inform people so we can have a more fun, fuller and realistic yard workout experience. If anyone has any suggestions that relates to above feel free to post them. Great examples of how a workout should be: | |

| Large yard workouts are used as a display of force. If they wanted to, they could simply get their money (work out & get their gains) on their own, without doing it together. If somebody drops during a group workout on the yard, the consequences could be quite severe. They may get checked (beaten up), or in some cases taken off the yard (killed or transferred). This is because it shows weakness within the ranks. | |

| My fat ass was never keep up with the workoutd at first. Ive never heard of anyone getting beat up over struggling with a workout. Homies from the SHU would just encourage me to push myself. Thats all, the only way you would get checked is if you walk away from a workout. But killed for dropping? Nay. | |
